A set date

I have a date set for the arrival of Little Princess. It's not the date I really, really wanted because apparently they do not book in elective caesareans on Mondays but it's not a bad date either! The only drawback is that I will miss M's Kindy Christmas Concert, but at least H can go to it.
There was a lot of talk of the risks and dangers and stuff today, because the doctors have to inform you about all of it. For a while it even seemed like she wanted to convince me otherwise (and I got myself very geared up for a fight) but then her supervisor came in and very casually booked me in and wished me good luck and I managed to relax again.
And no, there was zero sympathy for me not sleeping and having sore hands and swollen feet. It's all normal and to be expected, they said and moved along. Ah, poor me :-(
Anyways! We will head off to swim in a couple of hours and then dinner party with work. BF, one of the bosses, called today and told me all was ready and set up for my Paid Parental Leave too. What a relief.
