Frappelious

What have I eaten today... let's see...

One bowl of cereal. 3 frappes.

Hmm... yes, that's about it. Seriously! So bad. 2 of them from Gloria Jeans too; which is owned by a happy clapper church. Oh dear.

Homemade Iced Coffee

To survive in the heat and still get my caffeine fix!
Dissolve one teaspoon of instant coffee and one teaspoon of sugar in a little bit of boiling water. Fill glass up with cold milk, add a few ice-cubes. Preferably wait a couple of minutes for the ice-cubes to make it more icey. Then enjoy!
Might have one of these right now, actually...

Me and my Mudslide Mocha

Today it was time for H to go back to work. It was also time for M to go to kindy.
Also, it was finally time for me... to drive the car!
And I did, with both kids in the backseat. No stress, I just took my time and it was all good. Took M to kindy and then J and I went to the shops. Enjoyed a very beautiful Mudslide Mocha from Gloria Jean's (I was the first one in there; at 8am!) and then pottered around and got lots of little errands done including phone credit and photo printing so on.
J was happy in the pram for a while, then she woke up so I went to the Parents Room to feed her. A little cuddle and then popped her back in the pram thinking I could wander around for a while longer. Well, I was wrong. Apparently she doesn't love the pram as much as I wished she did, ha!
So we went home without getting around to the Post Office or the embroidery place. No worries, another day! She had another feed and fell asleep and has now been sleeping almost 3 hours.
So I have done laundry, baked cookies, tidied up the house, watched some cricket and booked a jumping castle for M's birthday party later in the month.
Cruisy day? Oh yes. I can get used to this!

Gaaaaaaahhhhh

11pm. 1am. 2am. 3am. 5am.
No, it has not been a good night! She has not even been upset or uncomfortable... just NOT tired. Beautiful big blue eyes wide open, all night. Good thing we are having no visitors today; I will be needing a catch-up sleep! We are having H's sister J over for a visit with her 3 kids tomorrow. That makes 9 house visits in 13 days; it's been a busy holiday season for us!
On Tuesday I'm going to drive. Hooray! I was at the doctors on Friday to check on my c-cut and it's all good so will be driving with no hesitation. Just going local to start with. On Tuesday I plan to first drop M off at kindy (which will take a while since everyone is going to want to meet little J) and then take her to the shops for an aimless wander and a fancy coffee type of thing. Can't wait! It's like looking forward to freedom, ha ha.
Doctor told me I can start swimming and cross-training next Thursday (when it's been 4 weeks) so that's very exciting news too. And he weighed little J and she was 4.1 kg so she's absolutely thriving on my milk. Hearing that (and getting lots of positive reinforcement from the doc) makes it much easier to deal with the sleep deprivation.
Either way, I refuse to feel sorry for myself about the sleep. Last time I did, and that was not right. Nah, I will be strong and happy and make life happen no matter how pooped I am! That's where the coffee comes in, he he.
Ah... big yawn... oh well :-)

I'm totally stuffed!

I have run out of time! There is sooo much I have to do, and I just realised I have no time left. The weeks just fly past too fast, and suddenly I have this big weekend of social events and am utterly unprepared. Gosh.
Here is the plan, as it stands. Tomorrow Friday is talking to P&E first thing in the morning, then swim at 10am, playdate with SBLL at midday, home for dinner and that, then I'm off to Beautiful K's birthday party at night. I would have preferred to go to the hairdresser and buy make-up and possibly clothes BEFORE that particular party but it ain't going to happen! Unless we go tonight... hmmm...
Anyways! Saturday H is working in the morning so I plan on dragging poor little M along to shopping at Chermside (bribe him with McD!) and then I have a haircut booked at 1.30pm at the local shops and finally work Christmas party at 5pm. At least I have sorted the Secret Santa pressie for the party.
Sunday I am hoping for a playdate with A&E since I did promise her to catch up this weekend, so will call her tomorrow. Then of course I'd love to do archery, but I don't think it will happen and also there is a Club Comp on at the range all weekend and I am totally not ready for that, so might stay away for now. Perhaps go after work one day next week? It just seems a bit scary to be out there alone, it's kind of away in the bushes off a little road and what if some crazy bogan comes along? Well, I guess I can always shoot him, hey?
M and I did groceries this afternoon, and we totally smashed a block of dark chocolate between the two of us, so unless I get to go to the shops tonight, I might try to work off some of that chocolate on the cross trainer.
Oh yeah. I have had too much coffee today. I just wrote this in like two minutes.

20 yards

I finally moved up at archery today, up to 20 yards. I have to make 40 yards to get my clearance. Did alright too. The coach told me today the training I had at the other place probably has not done me any favours, because they provided me with a sight there. Interesting, hey? He said I would not have learnt anything that way, and that is why I've been struggling here.
When I got home, I was exhausted so had some Panadols, went to bed and slept for two hours. Woke up in a weird state that not even two coffees helped. We went to Woolies to pick up a few things, then H made beautiful dinner with lamb chops and veggies. After the food I feel much better. I think I might not have eaten enough today, and that was why I wasn't feeling right. All I had before dinner tonight was toast for breakfast and a banana after archery.
Oh well, feel much better now! Working tomorrow. Big weekend, hey. Will go down and exercise tonight for sure.

Lan, Perrin and Graendal.

YES YES YES! I have obtained the prologue for Towers of Midnight (perfectly legally too)... on audiobook! Yes, very random but it seems it was the one and only way to access it for people outside North America. Can't say I'm enjoying the audiobook experience though, it's a bit frustrating, but hey! Yay!!!! So listened to Lan, Perrin and Graendals POVs today, might do the others tonight or tomorrow. Lan was good, Perrin was a bit boring, but obviously Graendal was awesome. What a sneaky little Forsaken she is. Today has been the first time in a very, very long time we had nothing planned or organised to do. So we went crazy at Chermside! It was great. I got new work shoes, perfume from Body Shop, a cookbook about chocolate (originally I was going to look for diet-books but the chocolate book was the one that caught my eye, figure that) and contacts. H bought wallet and M got a new poster for his room and a really nice yellow T-shirt with giraffes on it. I got his shirt at Myer, where they always have good quality kids clothes that look quite different from the stuff at Target/Big W/K-Mart. So I think this will be his new party-shirt (he ain't wearing it to kindy!). Also finalised AOS's birthday present for next weekend. We also had some lunch (I finally had my sushi) and of course... coffee. Now M is sleeping, H is having a rest as he's still not feeling 100% and I've been listening to DISTINCTIONS!!! Good day. Good good good! And tomorrow it's archery time again.

Just the average Friday madness

It has been such an exhausting day. I'm totally pooped. First got up early to talk to P&E, then M's old neighbour friend Z popped in and within minutes his dad was like, "hey, I'm just going out for a while, see ya" and yeah. So M and Z played for about half an hour, and once his dad came back we had to rush to get to swim school in time. M did well at swim as always. Straight back into car, off to Toombul shops. Met A&E there at McD (they had no sushi, only McD?!?!) and I ordered a grilled chicken salad which was actually really nice! Anyways, we wandered around the shops, M and E holding hands very cutely, and then it was Scooby-Doo time.
Tried to do some shopping for myself, but it was just impossible. So gave up, went home and M fell asleep in the car. H is home early, asleep too. He is still feeling unwell from last night.
If I was smart I would probably have a lie-down too. But I'm not. And the moment M wakes up all rejuvenated and full of beans after his sleep... well, then I'll totally regret not having laid down.
Oh well. There is always more coffee.
The highlight of my day was just before Scooby-Doo started. Like 50 kids and their parents sitting in front of the stage and suddenly "Macarena" comes on and this overweight kid with thick glasses gets up and starts dancing. He totally knew the moves, including a very enthusiastic bumshake, and did it with total seriousness. I'm pretty sure he might have had some mental disability. The beautiful bit though was that at first the other kids were kind of laughing at him (and the adults were too) and that, but as the song progressed and then was followed by "The Chicken Dance"... well, at the end almost all kids were dancing with him and everyone were clapping and cheering him on. And his mum sat there, looking so happy. Yes, that was great.

Buzzing

Alright! I have had a massive coffee!!!! So after work, which was a bit of a drag today, I had to go to the doc to get my script for asthma meds. That went well, even got to go in early, hooray for Dr Mark! Then got meds at pharmacy. Next on the agenda was paying the Demons some monies (four months early, how good am I????) and I figured that would be a more pleasant experience with a large coffee in hand.
Ordered it at Coffee Club and since their coffees usually are a bit on the weak side for me who is so hardcore, I asked for an extra strong one. And gee, I got one. I am buzzing like a crazy person. Visit at the bank was a blast, in spite of handing over large wad of cash.
Yes! I feel so happy... ah, I love caffeine.
