Back online!

Yes, I am back!
We have just been offline for over a week because of dramas with Telstra. So what has happened?
Well, we finished moving and are settling in nicely at the new place. The unit is up for rent but no tenants as of yet. All is well actually, apart from me still feeling quite sickly.
Will write longer entry later tonight, once M is in bed!

Unconditional

We got our finance approved at 4.30pm yesterday... by then we had already asked for an extension until Wednesday. Oh well, the lawyers said it's all good. Looks like we're moving, I guess! Time to start packing, and also there are a few things that we need to do around the place here; such as painting the roof and putting in a new cooktop and fix a leaking tap so on.
Today M and I are going to Swedish School, and H is going to the races.

Stressed out

All day today (and last night too, for that matter) people around me have been telling me to calm down and that all will be fine.
Why?
Because the finance most likely won't be ready tomorrow which means we need to ask for an extension. H and I are freaking out big-time! Mortgage broker said "don't worry, it happens all the time". So did the lawyers. And everyone at work, and the real estate agent.
But you know me. I always stress.
Almost vomited twice at work today too. No, not a very good day.

Two elephants on a string...

Latest masterpiece by M and I. You like it? Made the elephants with cut-out shapes, glued on googly eyes and a pipe-cleaner as the string.

Well, we are currently in the process of buying this house... our mortgage guy has all the papers he needs but we still got to nominate a conveyancing lawyer. Building and pest control on Wednesday...

Man, I feel sick. Nausea, and also stressed out and worked up about this whole house thing. Will feel better in two weeks time when it hopefully goes unconditional.

Bidding

So it's been back and forwards all afternoon between us and the sellers. We have gone up about the same amount as they have gone down. Now we're just waiting for them to get back to us, one final time. Then, hopefully, it will all be over. It's been very stressful, and not exciting in any shape or form. Oh well. There'll be time for excitement later, I guess.
Boys are watching TV and I just had a small work-out on the crosstrainer. Don't want to overdo it, for obvious reasons, but might have a 15-20 minute session every night. Just to counter-act all the hunger pangs...

We looked at another house today. It was perfect.

Too much snot and stuff

I can't sleep because I'm feeling like poop. First of all I have that nausea, and then I also got a bad cold with snot and sneezes and sore throat and stuff. 5 hours sleep I got, but feel okay anyways this morning. Perhaps because I had 10 hours sleep the night before. We looked at another house yesterday, it was still occupied by a bunch of extremely messy/filthy renters. It was pretty cramped and that so we told the agent we might just keep looking but he is very, very much insisting on us looking at it again once it's empty because he believes it's the perfect place for us. Ha! Agents. The market is so slow at the moment and there are very few buyers around so they're all clawing at us like crazy. Five houses we've looked at now. So far I think I liked the first one we looked at the best! But none of them have been great, so we'll just keep looking I guess... Off on massive adventure today!

Nausea

Here it comes! It has been a big week so far. Working lots and work is totally stressful and I hate sitting on desk! I hate it so much! Anyways... H is in Dalby until late tonight, tomorrow he's got body corp AGM to go to and on Friday we're going to look at another house. We're really keen on this one, actually. Both H and I are stressing about it selling before Friday... it's a crappy crap house BUT it's on a 800sqm block about 5 minutes walk from the school M is going to next year... fingers crossed!
