GOT season 3 so far

H and I have watched up to episode 6 of this years season of Game of Thrones. In the books we are now up to the third book, which is also the best book.
So far it's not too bad. They are deviating from the story a bit, but nothing too horrific. I was kind of shocked at Gendry/Edric amalgamation, and it really makes me wonder exactly where GRRM is taking Gendry in the books.
I did really enjoy Melisandre meeting Thoros of Myr; it wasn't necessary in the books but in the TV series I think it really worked well and made people click. Also Melisandre when she met Beric Dondarrion and heard about him dying all those times... yes, it's a good set-up for what's to come. I mean, I am certain she will resurrect our favourite Nights Watch Commander in Winds of Winter hey? And UnCat too, of course.
People get so excited about Dany, and all I can think of how she is doing absolutely NOTHING in the books and she is very much the biggest disappointment of the story in my eyes. I hope people won't turn away from the TV series when they realise she is boring as, and totally useless. Meh.
I love how Margaery and Joffrey are portrayed together, Margaery is a lot more feisty and conniving then she seems in the books. And the actress is great.
Jon and Ygritte is following story closely, and so is Brienne and Jaime. Sansa, yawn, all around. And I can't stand that actress, she is totally wrong for the character.
They are dragging out the Ramsay/Theon thing though. Yes, he is being tortured. Let's watch something else.
I assume it will all end on the Red Wedding this season. That's probably a great place to stop. Perhaps even with UnCat waking back up. That would certainly make people come back next season.
