The Matriarch

The first of the books from Lifeline Bookfest I have read is the self-biography of Kathy Pettingill. Honestly, not even sure why I bought it. Like lots of other people, I guess I do enjoy a bit of evil and depravity from time to time.
It is quite frank about the things going on, about her involvement in all those awful things. Really, it's a story about Dennis Allen though, he is the centre of the story and Kathy Pettingill is merely an observer and sometime participant. Or it's just that she's trying to seem more innocent than she truly was?
It is also a very sad story. Lots of tragic people, who do horrible things to themselves and others. I am not sure I am happy I read this book. But anyways, I did...
