First it was conjunctivitis, then some snot. Now we got a bad cough and a fever. So today I took Little J to the doctor, didn't have an appointment but they took us straight in. Such a wonderful medical practice. They weighed her too; she's at 11.3 kilos so not a big girl but definitely doing well.
It's only viral, which I kind of thought, but the doctor said that we should always bring her in if she's unwell at all. He said he remembered 25 years ago before immunisations where a child could go from Little J's condition to hospitalised on the verge of death in 24 hours due to meningitis. He said it's different now, but you can't be too careful.
So lots of Panadol, eye drops, nasal sprays and some inhaler (which he said works better than any cough medicine) and hopefully she'll be better soon. She had all of those (not happy about it lol) and then fell asleep on my chest once we got home, and been asleep for a couple of hours now. So yes, feeling good about it all!
Here's M and Little J this morning as he reads her a book so that I could get ready. He can be such a helpful boy.
Vilken tur att hon har en sån fin mamma och storebror
