Alma Park Zoo

It's Queens Birthday today. Well, it's not actually, her birthday was sometime last month I think but for some reason it's her birthday public holiday today. I don't know why and does it really matter? No, all it means to me is a Monday without work which equals less money.
At least we made the most of it! We went to Alma Park Zoo, it's the local zoo here on the northside. Not as big and grand and flashy as Aussie Zoo or anything, but just enough excitement for a 3 year old. Lots of monkeys; lemurs and marmesats and spider monkeys and baboons and of course koalas and kangaroos. Like, what is the deal with baboon bums? I'm going to have nightmares about that! Plenty of animals to handfeed for the little ones (although M was a bit too weary). Favourite moment: the llama that sneezed on H. Freaking hilarious. And yes, we did feed these crazy donkeys. They have very bad breath.
Work tomorrow. Have to remember to bring book to lend to someone. "The Dragon Reborn".
Oh yeah. Australia-Germany 0-4. Great start boys! Hmmm...
