Yesterday we went on a bit of an adventure to somewhere H has been wanting to take us for ages. First we drove to Blackbutt (about two hours from home) to eat at their bakery. H has eaten there many times when he's been working out that way, and he absolutely loved it. So we had some very yummy and not very nutritious food. It was a really old-school place; see the high chair! Awesome, hey?
Then we drove for over an hour to get to the Bunya Mountains (some of it on unsealed roads) and went for a rainforest walk to Paradise Falls and Little Falls.
It was really nice.
After that we went to the little town ship at Bunya Mountains and there were wallabies everywhere just hopping around not caring at all about people around them.
We bought some seed trays to feed parrots. Stood there with the trays for like 5 minutes with not a bird in sight and ALMOST gave up when the first king parrot came down. 2 minutes later there were lots of birds, and I got to handfeed both male and female king parrots as well as rosellas. I so love parrots, they are such wonderful animals.
So yeah, as we were feeding them other people came up and we shared our seeds with them and by the time we left there were 10 people standing there. Lovely.
Then very long drive home and the kids slept most of it which meant they were up to after 10pm last night. Well, we'll be more orderly tonight!
Vad mysigt det låter och jag minns nar vi matade fåglarna när jag var där fortfarande ett starkt minne
