Burtons Circus

Yesterday we went to the circus! I have been wanting to do this for a long time, so it was very exciting.
Burtons Circus is quite a small one, it only travels around Queensland and only had a troupe of maybe 12 or so performers. That meant the same performers did several things. Like one guy was a clown during the first half and then a trapeze artist in the second half. Some performers sold toys and popcorn during intermission.

This guy posing with Marcus walked the tightrope as Captain Jack, and then did the whip-cracking as well. He also sold toys. He was a really fun character, giving it all for the kids. So great.

The animals were cool but really the acrobats were the best.
We have all really become desensitized to performance after watching super-amazing things on youtube and on TV and stuff. SO while none of the circus performers did anything extraordinary, it was just so different seeing it in real life.

And definitely supporting a local business! The kids had so much fun, although Little J screamed in fear when the clowns first came on. Ha ha ha.
