Alma Park Zoo

Despite the rain and H's hang-over (he went out for JV's birthday last night) we ventured to the zoo today. It's our local one; only 15 minutes from our house and with the Entertainment Book we got $37 off the price. Not bad hey...
It was a lovely day out, even if the donkeys weren't there anymore! My favourite was the red panda section.

They are such beautiful animals. For $100 you can do a VIP Experience with them (like I did with giraffes at Wellington Zoo a few years ago) which I am going to ask for for my birthday next year!

M really liked the ponies. They were pretty much the only animals he was game enough to touch. He is not very comfortable around animals.

Little J got to pat a big kangaroo. She was very stoked about that.

I got a close-up of his face too. What a handsome hey.

But Little J's absolute favourite was the sun bear. She could have stood there watching him FOREVER.

She really didn't like feeding any of the animals though. They were too big and scary...

Now we are home again, and getting ready for the week ahead. Meeeeeh....
