The little yellow car

M and I were up early this morning and went for a play down at Pine Rivers Park at 7.30am. It was sunny but cold, and we were pretty much alone in the park which was awesome. It's a great park but usually too busy. The only other people there today were adults setting up for kids parties, as you got to get to these places early to guarantee a spot. That's what we had to do back in January for M's 3rd birthday party. H got to the Bunyaville Forest Park at 7am to grab the best table for our 10.30am festivities. Half an hour after he arrived someone came and tried to push him off, but he stood his ground and we had the best party ever! Actually I can't wait for M's next birthday party, so much fun planning them. It's not that different from pre-production for a short film really... and pre is always plenty of fun for a production designer.
Once H got out of bed we went for a drive to Redcliffe in the little yellow car. Lots of people comment on it to H's delight. We had some coffee and pizza at this beautiful place by the Redcliffe jetty and took the leftovers home in a doggybag and had it for dinner. Definitely going back there sometime soon.
So tomorrow is movie-with-L-time! Good old twitlight stupidity of course, because it's such good escapism. M is staying at A&E for a couple of hours as H got a job putting up fans for B in the morning. M and I made choc-icing covered bikkies today for him to bring to A&E. Apparently they're disgusting according to H, but M loves them. Of course he loves them. They contain his favourite ingredient... SUGAR!
Favourite moment of the day= M eating an apple and telling our obese neighbour all about the importance of eating good food rather than bad food, or otherwise you might get fat! I kept quiet praying to... well, not God but someone similar, that he would not say anything about her size. He didn't. Phew.
