A quiet day? Really?

Last couple of days have not been great. Long story with yucky details, but it does seem to be over now. I'm exhausted from it though, very exhausted.
So in a way I'm happy this Friday has ended up being a quiet one. It's been a long time since we had a quiet day, M and I. We went to swim, then had coffee and sandwiches at the coffee shop next to swim school and bought some presents for the twins from kindy who are having their birthday bash at the park tomorrow morning. Now we're relaxing at home watching TV and eating grapes.
Swim was not the best today. They were training a new teacher and it seems like he might have not held onto M very well at one point and M freaked out and started crying. The little guy was not happy! I even had to go in and have a chat to him halfway through the class to encourage him to stay in the pool. Good thing his usual teacher is so great, she made him smile and laugh again and all was well by the end of it.
M got himself a new Ben10 T-shirt, which came with a mask. Pretty cool, hey? He he he.
